He breathes youth into the art and allows the genre to reach further into other soundscapes... drawing those that might not necessarily lend an ear, but still keeping with the root of that which is blues. I had the pleasure of being present for his debut as a solo musician and heard a few songs last November at a Fundraiser for the Sunflower River Blues Association and was glad to be a part of that experience. Needless to say I bought the CD and it is awesome, Daddy Rich can definitely write lyrics and play guitar that is simply nothing but pure blues. I hope that he will play for our fundraiser again this year so that we can give him and his music the exposure his hard work deserves.
