This is a historic time for The Alligators. A lot of bands seem to come and go on a fairly regular basis but these guys have been playing their brand of Blues, Detroit Style for 20 years.
Not to say there hasn't been a few personnel changes over the years; hell Pete's only been with the band 8 years now, Steve and Mark joined 15 years ago. The two founding members of the band have remained consistent throughout. David Krammer on Vocals, and Wailin' Dale on Harmonica. It was their vision 20 years ago that has kept this band working and creating some of the best sounding original blues that has come out of Detroit since John Lee and Eddie Burns.
"Twenty To Life", The Alligators LIVE. No overdubs. They just set up, and played just like The Alligators do every week in the Clubs throughout Michigan, Ohio and Indiana and hopefully somewhere close to you."

author: bill runskileft detroit 20 years ago. i believe i saw this band in ann arbor and and at alvins finer deli in detroit. makes me homesick. great stuff! gots that deetroit style! head bobbin, beer drinkin.
Great Blues Sounds from The Motor City
author: Sam WilliamsSearching the CDbaby website for some blues, I came across this CD that knocked me out. Great Blues Sounds are still coming out of the Motor City. This band knows their roots and shows their originality in every tune. I recommend this to anyone that is a blues fan. Hope to hear more from these guys soon. Sam Williams
Gritty style of contemperary blues. The masters can be heard clearly
author: d kaminskyThese guys seem to have found the path between the masters & there styles and the contempary feeling. There is a feeling you get when you listen music from that region of the country. That motor city "take no prisnors" approch to music. These guy have obviously spent sometime together. There is most definitly a feeling they had some fun doing this recording. One comes away from this feeling that these are not young guy. They have lived abit, and have been able to bring that to the music. The Cd is at once gritty, at the same time has finesse. I found it very enjoyable. With that special surprise at the very end. An unlisted track.
